Meeting Sean in Bangkok Thailand

Last night, or rather early morning, I met up with Sean at Bangkok airport.

He had come in on China Airlines after a long 36 hour flight from the US going from Portland-LA-Taipei and finally Bangkok.

The airport wasn't too busy at 1.30 am and we wasted no time in getting into a cab and heading downtown to the Sukhumvit area where we are staying.

Sean remarked that Bangkok seems a big city as we were driving for a long while. Our street, Soi 4, was heaving with people as we drove to the hotel, street vendors and tourists were crowding the sidewalks. Sean and I dumped his gear in the room and went for a quick beer to help us catch up.

Bangkok can seem a bit of a madhouse for a new visitor, but we're already into our rhythm. After a few hours sleep and our complimentary breakfast we are at an internet cafe and have embassy stuff to take care of, Sean needs an Indian visa, me a new Indonesian business visa. The embassies are located in this part of town and we have to go in opposite directions for a few hours.

Will post more photos soon.
