Our time in Bangkok has been work oriented doing promotions at internet cafes and meeting travelers.

We have been luck enough to meet Erica, Amy and Juan and writer Rolf Potts who is leaving Thailand heading back to the US to pursue new challenges. Rolf gave me a signed copy of his book Vagabonding!

Exploring the area around Patpong looking for internet cafes I saw this tattooed man sleeping on the sidewalk, he must have been out of his head. I passed one of Bangkok�s many Wats ( temples ). but was in too much of a hurry to check it out. Very impressive from the street though.

These ladies were fixing flowers at a corner stall and agreed to having their photo taken.

Sean and I made a last swing through Khao San Rd and got there from our hotel by tuk tuk. These little go-carts are fun when they�re moving but the pollution you have to deal with in traffic is awful. If you ever decide to use a tuk tuk always agree on the price before you leave. There are no meters and the drivers can be sharks.

Khao San is an assortment of everything and can wear you down. For me its actually more stressful than being at the Woraburi around the action in Nana. At Nana you have food vendors and girls in bars, take it or leave it. In Khao San you have more people, more noise, more freaks and it�s the whole length of the street .

I said hi to this lady from Chiang Rai up north who was busy selling tribal wear.

Sean and I had dinner in the Khao San Gulliver�s Tavern ( which is smaller and dirtier than the one in Nana ). I was looking weary
but a beer quickly restored my energy.
