Pattaya Thailand is a place that probably few backpackers will visit due to its reputation and price.

For someone on a budget you are going to find more traditional places that are cheaper by going to some of the islands like Koh Tao or heading up north.

Still Pattaya was relaxing and most of the people we met were friendly. I certainly didn�t have any conflicts with anyone and the people in the internet cafes were glad to help us promote our site.

On the street that is one block in from the beach I checked out a small market area with food and vegetable stalls. This vendor
has a nice stack of durian to the left. Locals shopped here I took the opportunity to sample a couple of bbq�d sausages�pretty good! Another lady had these fish on a stick ready for consumption.

Our hotel, Cabbages & Condoms was just out of town and was very comfortable. Chris and Sean shared a room while I had my own. The place was AC and had a pool which we took advantage of. Sean showed me how to do a slow �leg only� backstroke incase I ever get washed out to sea and Lombok is my next destination. Breakfast was included and each day we�d pile up on the usual eggs, juice, coffee although an Asian selection was offered too. This lady made me my own special omelette. The staff were pleasant and I hope weren�t too surprised by our antics. We must of seemed a little weird to them�3 guys in one suite all grabbing hand fulls of condoms every time we go to the restaurant.

In the streets leading to the beach I noticed a ton of bars and signs advertising assorted services. A couple of times friendly ladies encouraged me to enter their bar but seemed a bit confused when all I wanted to do was glue a sticker on their monitor.

Back at the hotel we took the time to have a meeting and get things organized before settling down to a traditional dinner.

After a 2 hour taxi ride at maximum speed we are now back in Bangkok at the Woraburi Inn on Sukhumvit Soi 4. Chris is leaving tomorrow and I have got to see the damned Indonesian embassy again. The rainy weather has returned and we are hoping to do a tour tomorrow to check out the city as well as doing business stuff.
