Nick's description of our A/C'ed cocoon is pretty accurate. A vastly different atmosphere in the main Pattaya tourist drag (and I'm not talking about the bloke in sheila's clothing).

We wandered around for awhile, talked to a few cybercafes owners who were very friendly and co-operative, and watched monster trucks cruise up and down the main street blasting out invitations to come to their club later in the evening.

I saw a few of the streets that no doubt lit up like Vegas at nighttime, but didn't wander down. We also saw a vast area of open air bars that was practically empty at that time of day, but surely jams come nightfall in high season.

While waiting for Nick, Sean and I watched a local soccer match being played between Inter Milan and England (at least, that's what the jerseys were). Saw a couple of cracking goals scored on a cow paddock with live commentary over a loud speaker.
